1/35 Suomi couple ! BMP-1 & MAZ-537

Impressive, most impressive.
Thank you Samuli and Petri for your comments.

Nikkeli, I am sorry, but I do not understand your question. Can someone translate it in english for me ? Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Richard
Looks much better, but I think it looks more like a spruce, than pine. I think you should move upper branches pointing more upward than downward.
Pine tree has also a very high bare trunk, most of the foliage is at the top of the tree.

Colour of the trunk is quite light orange brown, but it has darker area at the bottom of the trunk.

Of course you can also add spruces on your diorama, it is also very common tree type at Finland.
I hope this helps :)

Some kid babbling, doesn't understand english, don't mind.
Don't mine Nikkeli's comment. It wasn't anything about this project.

Antti were faster. :)
Thank you very very very much, both for the pictures explanation and for the comment translation.

So let's say this second attempt will be a spruce, and I'll have another try at a pine looking like the ones on your pics.

Of course, that helps a lot !

Thanks again !

Cheers,

Richard
Thank you Kristian ! Your comment makes me think I reached my goal.

You're right, static grass is glued on, using women hairspray (strong fixing power one).

The plant I used is called "asparagus" (follow this link : www.biopix.com/Photo.asp?Language=en&PhotoId=27099), same one as in my first failed attempt. I find this plant in France at every flower shop. This is used as a complement in flower bouquets.

I glued 4 cm branches of asparagus to a skewer pick (barbecue time !!!), one branch every 5 millimeter.

And when it had dried, I sprayed the hairspray and dived my tree in a bucket full of static grass. This has to be repeated to achieve the desired result.

Then I airbrushed dark green paint, and this is it !

Cheers,

Richard
I think the finnish name for that Asparagus is Hienohelma (Fancypants?) :D

Asparagus = parsa in Finnish.
Asparagus is a genus what consists of different plant species, Parsa (Asparagus officinalis) is one. But I think the Asparagus Richard meant is not that Parsa vegetable plant. Hienohelma (Asparagus densiflorus) is a flower plant, what could be more common at flower shops. I might be wrong, of course.
