Onko tuo plastic weld samantyyppistä kuin ambroidin pro weld?
On. Butanone taas on ABS-muoville tarkoitettu liima (samaa kuin MEK), mutta soveltuu myös polystyreenille. Ohessa tekstiä valmistajan esitteestä.
"Butanone, also known as Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). MEK is effective in 'welding' ABS to itself, plywood and polystyrene. Normal application is by brush, but if you want to deposit a measured quantity, with minimum 'creep' to adjacent work, why not use a lining pen? Not the modern sophisticated types, but the tradition 'bow' pen - the dual nib type, with the knurled nut adjustment. Practice - you will soon be able to, for example, glue windows, without getting solvent on the face of the material.
As well as Butanone, we also sell our branded 'Plastic Weld'. This covers a much wider range of plastics than Butanone. However, we still recommend that you regard Butanone as your first solvent and it should always be used on our chairs and sleepers. As with the use of all solvents, care should be taken with Plastic Weld. It is Methylene Chloride - widely used in the plastics and Perspex industries. However the vapour is harmful and it is a Category 3 carcinogen. Treat it with the respect it deserves!"
